Principal Transport Officer
We are working with a London local authority seeking a Principal Transport Officer to lead the delivery of active travel and sustainable transport initiatives across the borough.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of active travel and sustainable transport schemes, with a focus on cycling projects.
- Manage transport projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring delivery to programme and budget.
- Oversee behaviour change initiatives that encourage sustainable travel across the borough.
- Provide line management and technical support to junior members of the team.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, elected members, consultants and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, present recommendations and provide professional transport advice.

Requirements
- Experience delivering active travel and cycling schemes within a local authority environment.
