We're working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is expanding its MEP capability in the Birmingham office. They are looking for a capable Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their developing building services team, offering strong technical exposure and clear opportunities to progress as the office continues to grow.
With an established client base and an expanding workload across healthcare, residential and industrial projects, this role provides the chance to broaden your experience, strengthen your design capability, and take on increasing responsibility over time.

The role
You will support the delivery of mechanical building services design across multiple projects, working closely with senior engineers and the wider design team. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with mechanical design across a range of building services projects
- Collaborating with electrical, structural and architectural teams to deliver coordinated solutions
- Preparing technical drawings, specifications and reports
- Ensuring designs comply with UK building regulations and client requirements
- Attending site visits and meetings as required
- Supporting project delivery through RIBA Stages 1–4
What you’ll bring
- Around 2–4 years’ experience in mechanical building services design
- Experience working within a UK consultancy environment
- Solid technical understanding of mechanical building systems
- Exposure to healthcare, residential or industrial projects is advantageous
