An opportunity has arisen for a Highway Development Control Engineer to join a client in London. Your main duties include responding to planning enquiries from a highway engineering perspective (section 278, section 38 and section 106 agreements), managing the design review process for highway DC projects, undertaking site inspections and representing the client in public enquiries / hearings when necessary. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £42 - £45 per hour + expenses - negotiable for the right candidate. Flexible working and working from home options are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to planning enquiries from an engineering perspective, including section 278, section 38 and section 106 agreements
- Managing the design review process for highway development control projects
- Undertaking site inspections, visits and data collection
- Representing the client at public hearings and enquiries when necessary
