A well-established London Local Authority is looking to appoint an experienced Specialist Surveyor to join their Home Improvement team on an initial 26-week contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on delivering specialist disability adaptations and home improvement projects that have a genuine impact on the lives of vulnerable residents across the borough.
Please note: Previous experience delivering disability adaptations is essential. Unfortunately, applications without this experience cannot be considered.
The Role
As Specialist Surveyor, you'll manage the delivery of a wide range of adaptations and home improvement works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and in line with current legislation. You'll oversee a varied caseload from initial assessment through to completion, working closely with residents, contractors, Occupational Therapists and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing specialist disability adaptations including Level Access Showers, stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, ramps and ceiling track hoists.
- Delivering home improvement and disrepair works, including damp and mould remediation.
- Carrying out pre, mid and post-work inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
