Active & Sustainable Transport Officer
As an Active & Sustainable Transport Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of sustainable transport initiatives and projects.
Working as part of the Active and Sustainable Transport Team, you will contribute to a range of schemes including School Streets, placemaking, walking and cycling projects, Bikeability cycle training and wider environmental and sustainability initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual to make a positive impact on active travel and sustainable transport within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of School Streets schemes.
- Contribute to placemaking projects and initiatives.
- Assist with the delivery of cycling and walking projects.
- Support the planning and delivery of Bikeability cycle training programmes.
- Contribute to environmental and sustainability projects.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Assist with the coordination and monitoring of active and sustainable transport initiatives.
- Provide support and advice on active travel and sustainable transport matters.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to encourage walking, cycling and sustainable travel.
- Support the wider Active and Sustainable Transport Team with day-to-day project and programme activities.
