Be the safety lead across a long-term highways framework in Liverpool. You will be stepping into a key Health & Safety Advisor role supporting a busy highways framework, where your expertise will directly influence site standards, workforce wellbeing and consistent, high-quality project delivery. You will be supporting my client, a well-established contractor delivering multiple schemes through a long-term highways framework in Liverpool. The business has a strong pipeline of work across highways and civil engineering, with a reputation for investing in people, promoting best practice and maintaining excellent Health & Safety performance across its sites.
What you will be doing day to day
- You will be advising site and project teams on all Health & Safety matters across a highways framework
- You will be carrying out site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple schemes, ensuring compliance with HSG, CDM and company standards
- You will be supporting accident and near-miss investigations and implementing corrective actions
- You will be delivering toolbox talks, briefings and safety inductions
- You will be monitoring subcontractor compliance and promoting a positive, proactive safety culture
- You will be working closely with project management to drive continuous improvement in Health & Safety performance
What you'll need to bring
- Proven experience within highways, infrastructure or civil engineering
- A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- A strong understanding of CDM Regulations and highways safety standards
- Confidence communicating with site teams at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to Health & Safety
