Exciting opportunity for a Waste Operations Manager in Leicestershire. This role will play a key part in supporting the delivery of waste operations across Leicestershire County Council's Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) and Waste Transfer Stations (WTS).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing operational teams across multiple waste sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery.
- Regular travel between sites and strong experience managing operatives, supervisors, and waste operations teams.
- Managing and supporting operatives, supervisors, operations officers, and wider waste teams across Council waste sites.
- Coordinating recruitment, inductions, training, and development programmes to ensure teams have the skills required to deliver operational objectives.
- Undertaking line management responsibilities including investigations, performance management, and annual performance reviews.
