A client organisation is looking for multiple experienced S&T Team Leaders to support critical maintenance, faulting, inspection, and renewal works across the network. The Role:
As an S&T Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading and motivating a team delivering safety-critical rail works across the network. You'll ensure all activities are completed safely, compliantly, and to the highest operational standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong technical signalling background alongside leadership capability and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and organise signalling maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal activities
- Ensure safe systems of work and robust safety arrangements are maintained at all times
- Monitor quality, compliance, and team competence across all works
- Ensure tools, vehicles, plant, and equipment remain fit for purpose
- Produce operational and compliance reports to support delivery performance
- Support and mentor team members while setting high working standards
- Work collaboratively with Network Rail teams, contractors, and stakeholders
Essential Experience:
- Previous Team Leader experience
- Organising and delivering signalling works safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of signalling maintenance, faulting, inspection, and renewal techniques
- Knowledge of relevant Network Rail standards including:
- NR/L3/SIG/10663
- NR/L3/SIG/11231
- Valid IRSE Combined Signalling Maintainer & Fault Finder Licence (1.4.230)
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, nights, and on-call as required
