As a Site Supervisor – Highways, you will join a team that empowers you to take ownership, lead day‐to‐day activity on site, and improve transport links for thousands across West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
  • Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials to keep activities running smoothly and on programme.
  • Monitor site compliance with H&S procedures, environmental standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Support the site management team with reporting, record‐keeping, and project delivery requirements.
  • Work across activities such as temporary traffic management, resurfacing, signal junction upgrades, signage, road lighting, minor structures, groundworks and landscaping.
  • Contribute to high‐quality project outcomes and help drive overall scheme performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on highways or streetworks projects, including surfacing, traffic management, lighting and general civil engineering activities.
  • A solid understanding of site processes, safety systems, and handover/close‐out procedures.
  • SSSTS (or SMSTS achieved/working towards), a valid CSCS card, and relevant highways training.
  • Confident IT skills and a proactive attitude towards reporting, communication, and stakeholder coordination.
