You are a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys detail, ownership and seeing projects delivered safely, on time and to budget. In this role, you will be a key commercial voice within multidisciplinary project teams, helping to shape some of the most interesting civil engineering schemes in the Leeds area. You will have the autonomy to make a real impact while being supported by experienced colleagues who value your expertise.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be trusted to lead on commercial matters, build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, and ensure your projects deliver profitable, sustainable outcomes.
What you will be doing day to day:
- Prepare and submit interim payment applications and project final accounts
- Use civil engineering standard forms of contract, including NEC3 and NEC4
- Raise and manage early warnings and play a key role in risk reduction
- Notify, assess and submit quotations for compensation events
- Procure sub-contractors in line with the project programme
- Carry out contract administration of sub-contracts
- Assess sub-contractors' payment applications, issue payment notices and arrange payments
- Agree sub-contract final accounts
- Measure quantities both on site and from drawings where required
- Produce accurate internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations in line with the commercial reporting timetable
- Work closely with the project team to monitor progress and effectively manage risks and opportunities
- Help ensure good quality and accurate site records are kept and maintained
You may also be asked to support other reasonable duties from time to time that fall within the scope of the role.
