Are you an experienced Lead Contractor Design Approval Engineer (LCDAE) looking for a flexible contract opportunity? We are looking to speak with experienced design assurance professionals to support a major UK electricity transmission infrastructure project. The requirement is focused on providing LCDAE support throughout detailed design, with the potential to continue into the construction support phase. This is a specialist part-time requirement, expected to average around 8 hours per week, although additional input may be required depending on design submissions, reviews and project demand. The role will be delivered predominantly remotely, with occasional attendance at office or site meetings where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake the role of LCDAE in accordance with National Grid TP137.
  • Provide design assurance and technical oversight throughout the detailed design phase.
  • Review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications and associated design documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable National Grid Technical Procedures, standards and project requirements.
