3D CAD Technician (Mechanical) - Water Sector Location: Knaresborough, UK Rate: £400+ per day Duration: 6 months+ Travel: You must be willing to travel as required Are you an experienced 3D CAD Technician with a background in the water, wastewater, utilities or infrastructure sector? About the Role You will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models, technical drawings and design information to support the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, collaborating with engineers and other technical professionals to ensure designs are coordinated, accurate and delivered to the required standards. What You'll Be Doing ·You will develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD and BIM models. ·You will produce accurate technical drawings and design documentation. ·You will work closely with engineers, designers and other disciplines to coordinate designs. ·You will review drawings and models to ensure accuracy and quality. ·You will work with complex design information and ensure models are kept up to date. ·You will support quality control and checking processes. ·You will interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements. ·You may provide guidance and support to less experienced technicians. ·You will contribute to the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. What We're Looking For ·Previous experience working as a 3D CAD Technician, CAD Designer or BIM Technician. ·Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors. ·Strong AutoCAD skills. ·Experience with Revit and/or Navisworks. ·Good understanding of 3D modelling and BIM processes. ·The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering information
