Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor delivering works on HS2 and they require a Site Engineer to join them and lead setting out activities on the drainage and multi-utility packages in Coventry.
Responsibilities:
- Set out works on site using surveying equipment so construction is built in the right place.
- Make sure work on site follows the drawings, plans, and required standards.
- Carry out site checks and keep quality records up to date.
- Read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Work closely with site managers, subcontractors, designers, and the client team.
- Keep clear site records, including measurements of completed work.
- Help plan the order of works to keep the project on schedule.
Requirements:
- HNC or degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proven Site Engineering experience on a major infrastructure / civil engineering project.
- Strong setting out experience for a tier-one contractor on drainage or multi-utility packages.
- Skilled in using GPS survey equipment and total station equipment.
- Driver with own mode of transport.
