Are you looking for a challenging contract role where you can make an immediate impact on major water industry projects? We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading team delivering critical infrastructure schemes across Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of diverse projects from design through to completion, working on installations that include pumping stations, dosing systems, chlorination plants, and associated structures.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to high-quality standards.
- Leading electrical installations on water industry schemes.
- Coordinating early-stage site investigations and collaborating closely with clients, design teams and site personnel.
- Preparing and reviewing all health & safety documentation, including RAMS and project management plans.
- Overseeing procurement, supplier engagement and subcontractor management.
- Contributing to design reviews, cost tracking, and budget management.
- Driving innovation while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Preparing detailed project programmes and managing ITPs throughout delivery.
- Supporting project close-out through accurate as-built documentation, inspection/test certification and O&M manuals.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within the water or utilities sector.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or significant industry experience.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Trimble (Amtech), AutoCAD or Relux is desirable.
- ATEX experience is beneficial but not essential.
