A local authority in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Housing Allocations Officer to join its Housing Services team. This role plays a key part in delivering a fair, transparent, and legally compliant allocations service, providing advice and assistance in line with the Council's Allocations Scheme and Nominations Agreement.

You will be responsible for managing the allocation process through to property matching, making informed decisions on housing register applications, and determining application status and banding. The role involves allocating accommodation via direct matching, including cases involving medical needs, delayed discharge of care, under-occupiers, and homelessness. You will also coordinate the input of void and new-build properties from Housing Associations.

The successful candidate will have practical experience using NEC (Northgate), Civica, or Jigsaw within a housing allocations or housing register environment. This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week office-based.
