Site Engineer required for highways works in Colchester!
You will be working predominantly over day shifts, covering all aspects of highways site engineering and setting-out. This includes infrastructure, roads and sewers, drainage, earthworks, kerbing and reinforced concrete works.
As Site Engineer you will be tasked with:
- Liaising with the project team to ensure the project is delivered to a high quality and on time
- Offering guidance and direction to more junior members of the team
- Setting out of roads, earthworks, sewers and reinforced concrete structures
- Scanning for services and using CAT and Genny to locate underground utilities
- Keeping daily records of site activities
You will also hold:
- Knowledge and experience of Highways standards and procedures
- Experience across infrastructure, roads and sewers projects
- Strong setting-out experience
- Reinforced concrete experience
- Competency in scanning for services (CAT and Genny)
- Knowledge and experience of high-speed road projects and setting out engineering
- Experience working for a major highways contractor
- Experience with road works, drainage works & 278 works
- SMSTS - desirable
