An opportunity has arisen for a Highways Inspector to join a client in Oxfordshire. Your main duties include undertaking highway safety and highway maintenance inspections across the area, ensuring repair and reinstatement works on the public highway are carried out in accordance with the NRSWA 1991, dealing with complaints from the public and liaising with stakeholders and other relevant parties. This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £28 - £30 per hour + expenses - negotiable for the right candidate. Flexible working arrangements are available.

Working within the Highways team your main duties include:

  • Carrying out highway inspections across the area
  • Investigating licensing issues such as hoards, skips and scaffolds
  • Ensuring all repair and reinstatement works are compliant with the legislation
  • Liaising with members of the public, stakeholders, emergency services and contractors

Previous experience in Highways and Streetworks is essential for this role.
