You will be stepping into a key Health & Safety Advisor role supporting a busy highways framework, where your expertise will directly influence site standards, workforce wellbeing and consistent, high-quality project delivery. The business has a strong pipeline of work across highways and civil engineering, with a reputation for investing in people, promoting best practice and maintaining excellent Health & Safety performance across its sites.
What you will be doing day to day: As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will be embedded within the framework delivery team and trusted as the goâto safety professional. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising site and project teams on all Health & Safety matters across a highways framework.
- Carrying out site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple schemes, ensuring compliance with HSG, CDM and company standards.
- Supporting accident and nearâmiss investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Delivering toolbox talks, briefings and safety inductions.
- Monitoring subcontractor compliance and promoting a positive, proactive safety culture.
- Working closely with project management to drive continuous improvement in Health & Safety performance.
What you'll need to bring: To succeed, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience within highways, infrastructure or civil engineering.
- A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
- A strong understanding of CDM Regulations and highways safety standards.
- Confidence communicating with site teams at all levels.
- A proactive, solutionsâfocused approach to Health & Safety.

Location, working pattern and progression: Based in Liverpool, supporting sites across the framework. Predominantly siteâbased, with regular engagement across project teams.
