Are you an experienced Highway CAD Technician looking for your next contract opportunity? My client is looking to appoint a Highway CAD Technician to support the delivery of a busy programme of highway improvement works across Cheshire. With an increasing workload and a number of schemes progressing through the design phase, they require additional technical support to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on time.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team on an initial 12-month contract, working on a variety of highways projects with the flexibility of hybrid working.

The Role:

As a Highway CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing and developing AutoCAD drawings for a range of highway infrastructure schemes, including:

  • Highway improvement projects
  • Footway and carriageway schemes
  • Resurfacing and maintenance works
  • Small-scale highway enhancement projects

You will work closely with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure designs are delivered accurately and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing detailed AutoCAD drawings and technical designs
  • Preparing plans, layouts, and construction details for highway schemes
  • Supporting the design and delivery of carriageway and footway improvement projects
  • Assisting with resurfacing and maintenance scheme design work
  • Updating and maintaining design records and documentation
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and project teams throughout project delivery
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and specifications
