Are you a Site Engineer with experience in earthworks, drainage and reinforced concrete structures looking for your next long-term freelance contract? We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways infrastructure project just south of Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of Scotland's flagship civil engineering schemes, delivering significant earthworks, drainage, structures and road construction.
The Project:
- Design 10km of new dual carriageway
- 4.5km of side roads
- Approximately 1 million cubic metres of earthworks
- Four reinforced concrete structures
- Extensive drainage and highway construction works
The Role:
As Site Engineer, you will provide engineering support across multiple work packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to specification. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting out for earthworks, drainage, highways and structures
- Maintaining engineering control and survey equipment
- Producing setting out information and as-built surveys
- Completing quality inspections and QA documentation
- Preparing field control sheets and daily site records
- Carrying out site inspections and supporting Permit to Work procedures
