Streekworks Planner
The Role
Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? We're looking for a proactive and organised Planner to help ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest standards.
In this role, you'll play a key part in coordinating operational teams, managing permits, liaising with clients and ensuring activities run smoothly from initial planning through to completion. You'll help drive performance, meet contractual service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure clients and customers receive a high standard of service throughout every stage of the process.
About the Role
You'll be joining a leading UK contractor in the water and civil engineering sectors, delivering essential infrastructure projects and services that support communities and improve everyday life.
From pipeline construction and pumping station upgrades to drainage systems and ongoing infrastructure maintenance, the work contributes to cleaner water, more resilient infrastructure and reliable essential services.
As a Planner, you'll support the effective planning and coordination of works, ensuring resources, permits and schedules are managed efficiently. Working closely with operational teams, clients and other stakeholders, you'll help identify potential challenges, resolve issues and maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively and contributing to the successful delivery of essential infrastructure projects.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with a combination of relevant experience, strong organisational skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous planning experience, preferably within utilities, street works or a similar operational environment.
- Knowledge of Street Manager and/or Aurora systems.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word.
- An understanding of permits, street works requirements and/or traffic management.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify issues and find practical solutions.
Additional Information
