Overview:

My client, a reputable company in the construction sector, is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining and improving safety standards across their sites in the North West. They are looking for a proactive individual who can contribute immediately and help enhance their safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site visits across the North West to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop, review, and update health and safety documents, including risk assessments, method statements, and policies.
  • Provide hands–on support to site teams, ensuring best practices are implemented.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with site managers and other stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all health and safety documentation is up–to–date and compliant with relevant legislation.

Requirements:

  • My client requires a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Several years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in a health and safety role.
  • Proven experience in producing method statements and other safety–related documents.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
