Our client is seeking an experienced Flood Risk Engineer to join them on an ongoing contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the technical specialist and deliver Council services across flood risk analysis, including reviewing flood risk assessments, SuDS designs, responding to planning applications, and contributing to the management of the council's flood storage assets.
  • Be an expert in SuDS systems and monitor and assess new and existing drainage systems across a range of developments, including new large residential sites.
  • Be practical and willing to undertake work that may be required, such as lifting manholes, inspecting drainage systems or flood risk assets.
  • Work as part of a wider team that is willing to cross‑train and help other members as required.
  • Have a varied knowledge of flooding and drainage systems in both rural and urban settings.
