The Opportunity

As a Structural Technician, you will work closely with structural engineers and the wider design team to produce detailed drawings and BIM models for a variety of building projects. You will be responsible for:

  • Producing detailed structural drawings and models using Revit.
  • Preparing general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details and construction information.
  • Developing and maintaining BIM models throughout the design process.
  • Assisting with the coordination of structural information with architects and other consultants.
  • Producing accurate technical drawings in line with project specifications and UK standards.
  • Updating and revising drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supporting engineers with technical detailing and project delivery.
  • Ensuring all drawings are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this Structural Technician role, you should have:

  • Previous experience working as a Structural Technician within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong proficiency using Revit for structural projects.
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • A good understanding of structural detailing for a variety of building materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • Knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
