The Opportunity
As a Structural Technician, you will work closely with structural engineers and the wider design team to produce detailed drawings and BIM models for a variety of building projects. You will be responsible for:
- Producing detailed structural drawings and models using Revit.
- Preparing general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details and construction information.
- Developing and maintaining BIM models throughout the design process.
- Assisting with the coordination of structural information with architects and other consultants.
- Producing accurate technical drawings in line with project specifications and UK standards.
- Updating and revising drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting engineers with technical detailing and project delivery.
- Ensuring all drawings are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this Structural Technician role, you should have:
- Previous experience working as a Structural Technician within a consultancy environment.
- Strong proficiency using Revit for structural projects.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- A good understanding of structural detailing for a variety of building materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
- Knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
