My Local Authority Client in the East Midlands is looking to source an experienced Town Planner with experience of dealing Minerals Waste Applications. The job role will be to determine applications for minerals and waste development for a collection of councils. This will include site visits as appropriate, giving pre-application advice and attending the respective planning committees of the authorities as necessary when an application goes before them.
The job will also require the monitoring of existing permitted/operational minerals and waste sites in the three authorities and of any authorised development notified to us. In the case of the latter, the job holder may need to initiate enforcement action. Experience in minerals and waste development management of significance will be required.
