Site Agent - Water Treatment Works Location: East Sussex Sector: Water / Civils Project: Major Water Treatment Works Upgrade Outside IR35 Are you a Site Agent with a strong civil engineering background looking to work on a major water treatment works upgrade? Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a civils contractor delivering a package of works as part of the £61m upgrade of Water Treatment Works. This is a significant clean-water infrastructure programme involving the upgrade and expansion of the existing operational treatment works, with extensive civil engineering required to support new and upgraded process infrastructure. The Role Working as Site Agent, you will take day-to-day responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of the civils package on site. The works will include reinforced concrete structures and frames, foundations, bases, groundworks and associated treatment works civils, working alongside the wider MEICA and project delivery teams. You will be responsible for: ·Managing daily site activities, subcontractors and direct labour ·Driving programme and ensuring works are delivered safely and to specification ·Managing RC concrete and structural civils packages ·Coordinating temporary works and construction sequencing ·Reviewing RAMS, permits and construction documentation ·Managing quality, inspections and site records ·Working closely with engineers, supervisors and the wider project team ·Identifying programme, technical and delivery risks before they impact the works ·Maintaining high health, safety and environmental standards on an operational water site What We're Looking For: We are particularly interested in someone who has progressed from a Site Engineer / Civil Engineer background into Site Agent or Site Management, giving them the technical understanding to manage complex civils packages effectively. Essential: ·Proven Site Agent / Sub Agent experience within civil engineering ·Strong engineering background ·Experience delivering RC concrete structures, frames, bases and associated heavy civils ·SMSTS ·First Aid ·TWS or TWC ·CSCS ·Strong understanding of temporary works, RAMS, quality and site delivery Previous experience within the water sector, treatment works or other process/infrastructure environments would be highly advantageous, although strong RC/heavy civils experience from a comparable environment will also be considered. Why This Role? This isn't a small maintenance package. You'll be joining a major upgrade programme at an operational water treatment works, with a substantial pipeline of civils and process infrastructure being delivered through to 2028.
