- Provide visible, accessible and supportive day-to-day leadership of the Development Management team.
- Hold effective one-to-ones, caseload reviews and performance discussions.
- Support individual officers to manage workloads, priorities and application timescales effectively.
- Maintain oversight of team capacity, workloads, performance pressures and operational risks, escalating issues where necessary.
- Provide professional guidance and act as an escalation point for complex, sensitive or high-risk planning cases.
- Provide additional leadership capacity to the Head of Planning Services, including assistance with staffing, performance and operational matters.

- Hourly rate - approx. £65 per hour
- Local Authority experience.
