Overview

Are you a Geotechnical Design Engineer based in Manchester? Do you have experience working on network rail projects?

Duration: 6 Months

Hours: 35 Mon-Fri

Rate: Dependant on experience (Inside IR35)

This is an opportunity to work for a leading consultancy working on various infrastructure projects out of Manchester.

As a Geotechnical Design Engineer, you would have ideally worked on network rail projects that have included - retaining walls, foundations, soil nails.

Responsibilities

  • Work on network rail projects including retaining walls, foundations and soil nails.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology
  • A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate knowledge of design software such as Slide and GEO5
  • CDM, Risk assessment and external audit competency
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own car

Desirable

  • Full PTS certification
  • Experience of Network Rail design procedures
  • Working towards chartership with a recognised professional body
  • Local to South Manchester
