Join an employee-owned civil and structural consultancy where everyone has a say and collaboration is at the heart of how they operate. You’ll be part of a friendly, sociable team of 12 delivering a steady flow of varied geotechnical projects — typically 3–8 live jobs at a time, covering embankment design, rock stabilisation and small-scale infrastructure works, with around 70% of projects being in rail.

This is a hands-on, flexible role suited to a well-rounded Geotechnical Engineer who enjoys variety and responsibility. You’ll learn directly from senior specialists, contribute to design decisions, and see your input influence delivery across multiple clients and sectors. Progression here is genuinely quicker than in large organisations. You’ll be supported towards ICE chartership, encouraged to broaden your skillset (including drainage), given early ownership of your own projects, and be facing clients.

  • 2–6 years’ post-graduate geotechnical design experience
  • Strong grasp of geotechnical principles and design software
  • Flexible, proactive approach and ability to manage multiple small projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Rail OR drainage experience (must have one)
  • Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
