We're working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a significant Water Treatment Works scheme as part of the Thames Water AMP 8 Programme. This is an opportunity to join a well-established team on a high-profile project where you'll play a key role in driving safe, efficient and high-quality delivery on site.

With an initial 6-month contract, there is genuine potential for extension or even a permanent opportunity for the right individual.

What you'll be doing

As Civils Foreman, you'll take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising site operatives and subcontractors
  • Planning daily activities and coordinating labour, plant and materials
  • Driving health, safety and environmental compliance across site
  • Delivering toolbox talks and daily site briefings
  • Working closely with the Site Manager, Engineers and client representatives
  • Monitoring quality, productivity and programme performance
  • Maintaining accurate site records, progress reports and daily diaries
  • Identifying and resolving site issues to keep delivery on track

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced Civils Foreman with a proven track record delivering infrastructure projects, ideally within the UK water sector.

You'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Civils Foreman on civil engineering projects
  • Water or Wastewater Treatment Works experience (highly desirable)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams
  • A solid understanding of health, safety and quality standards
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and work fronts
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work (preferred)
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card (advantageous)
