An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estates Surveyor to join a Local Authority team in Surrey on a long-term maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a varied commercial property portfolio, supporting the council's strategic estate management objectives and helping to maximise value across its assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse commercial property portfolio
- Handling landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews, lease renewals and dilapidations
- Providing professional valuation and estates advice
- Assisting with acquisitions, disposals and asset management initiatives
- Supporting wider corporate property and regeneration objectives
- Liaising with tenants, stakeholders and internal departments
Requirements:
- MRICS qualified preferred, but experienced candidates considered
- Strong estates management experience within local government or the public sector
- Good knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
- Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
