An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estates Surveyor to join a Local Authority team in Surrey on a long-term maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a varied commercial property portfolio, supporting the council's strategic estate management objectives and helping to maximise value across its assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse commercial property portfolio
  • Handling landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews, lease renewals and dilapidations
  • Providing professional valuation and estates advice
  • Assisting with acquisitions, disposals and asset management initiatives
  • Supporting wider corporate property and regeneration objectives
  • Liaising with tenants, stakeholders and internal departments

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified preferred, but experienced candidates considered
  • Strong estates management experience within local government or the public sector
  • Good knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
