One of the most well–known nuclear companies in the UK is looking for senior mechanical engineers to work on some of the most prestigious projects in the sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior mechanical engineer to work on some massive projects in the defence/nuclear sector.
Details
- Location – Bristol 2/3 days a week
- Contract Length – 12 Months
- Pay Rates – Up to GBP60.00 an hour (Inside IR35)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the team for your specialist area and ensure you are working to deadlines effectively.
- Make engineering decisions from a project and technical standpoint.
- Act as the technical authority or lead mechanical engineer when required to do so.
- Ensure all changes are assessed and managed accordingly to project scope.
- Ensure the procedures and engineering codes are consistently met and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce and review all technical documents and approve calculations, analysis, drawings and models for design documents and technical reports.
Qualifications
- An engineering degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in working in heavily regulated sites with multiple discipline teams.
- Demonstrated experience in covering a wide range of tasks across a range of complexities.
- Experience in managing an engineering scope.
- Chartered status preferred (DESIRED).
