One of the most well–known nuclear companies in the UK is looking for senior mechanical engineers to work on some of the most prestigious projects in the sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior mechanical engineer to work on some massive projects in the defence/nuclear sector.

Details

  • Location – Bristol 2/3 days a week
  • Contract Length – 12 Months
  • Pay Rates – Up to GBP60.00 an hour (Inside IR35)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the team for your specialist area and ensure you are working to deadlines effectively.
  • Make engineering decisions from a project and technical standpoint.
  • Act as the technical authority or lead mechanical engineer when required to do so.
  • Ensure all changes are assessed and managed accordingly to project scope.
  • Ensure the procedures and engineering codes are consistently met and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce and review all technical documents and approve calculations, analysis, drawings and models for design documents and technical reports.

Qualifications

  • An engineering degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in working in heavily regulated sites with multiple discipline teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in covering a wide range of tasks across a range of complexities.
  • Experience in managing an engineering scope.
  • Chartered status preferred (DESIRED).
