About the Role

Our client is looking for a Streetworks Coordinator to join its busy Highways team, playing a key role in managing works across one of London's most active road networks. You'll be responsible for coordinating streetworks activity, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to residents, businesses, and road users. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a high-impact role supporting the Council's statutory Network Management Duty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and approve streetworks permit applications in line with NRSWA and TMA legislation
  • Coordinate works across the borough to minimise disruption and congestion
  • Apply appropriate conditions to permits to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works
  • Liaise with utility companies, contractors, and internal teams to manage conflicting works
  • Monitor compliance and take enforcement action where required
  • Support the expeditious movement of traffic and overall network performance
  • Contribute to income generation through permit fees, FPNs, and overrun charges
  • Maintain accurate records using streetworks systems

About You

  • Experience in streetworks, highways, or network coordination within a local authority or similar
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
