The role will require close coordination with electrical engineers, designers, consultants and other technical disciplines to resolve network issues, identify engineering risks and support project decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in power systems engineering within electricity transmission, distribution, generation, renewable energy or major infrastructure environments.
  • Practical experience carrying out a range of power system studies and interpreting study results.
  • Good working knowledge of software packages such as DIg SILENT Power Factory, ETAP, PSCAD or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience with load flow, fault level and short-circuit analysis.
  • Knowledge of transient stability, harmonics and EMT analysis.
  • Experience with protection coordination and network performance studies.
  • Exposure to arc flash and earthing studies would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of HV and EHV electrical networks.
  • Experience supporting grid connection or network compliance activities would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently, manage technical workloads and clearly communicate engineering findings.
