Commercial Manager - Overhead Lines SPEN Framework Up to 95,000 DOE + Car/Allowance Edinburgh Are you an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in major infrastructure projects?

If you are looking for a commercially responsible position on a major overhead lines framework, this could be an excellent opportunity to take ownership of significant project packages while working within an established infrastructure environment.
My client is seeking a Commercial Manager to support the delivery of major Overhead Lines projects across the SPEN Framework, mainly refurbishment works.
You will play a key role in protecting the commercial position of the business, managing contractual risk and ensuring projects are delivered with strong commercial control.
What you will be doing As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of major projects from delivery through to final account.
You will be: Managing the commercial performance of major Overhead Lines projects across the SPEN Framework.
Working closely with project and operational teams to ensure strong cost and contractual control.
Overseeing applications, valuations, variations, compensation events and final accounts.
Monitoring project costs, forecasts, budgets and commercial performance. Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
Supporting negotiations with clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
Providing accurate commercial reporting to senior management.
Supporting and developing members of the wider commercial team where required.
Previous experience working as a Commercial Manager or in a senior commercial position on major infrastructure projects.
Experience managing commercially complex projects or significant project packages. A strong understanding of cost management, forecasting, change control and contractual risk.
Experience working collaboratively with project delivery teams and clients.
Salary and package You will receive a salary of up to 95,000 dependent on experience, alongside a company car or car allowance.
You will also have the opportunity to work on a significant long term framework delivering major infrastructure projects, with scope to develop your commercial career as the programme progresses.
Location This role is not site based and does not require national travel.
You will primarily be based from the office just outside Edinburgh, although there is flexibility to work from home on a hybrid basis.
