Principal Project Manager (Local Plan - Policy)
Carrington West is assisting a local authority client in the Southwest of England to find a Principal Project Manager to join the Town Planning, Planning Policy Team on an initial 6 month contract basis. The Council focuses on delivering the best possible outcomes for its communities and is working towards the Regulation 19 consultation. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of project management from initiation to completion, ensuring that objectives and scope are met with a particular focus on the garden communities project and the place agenda.
Responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate the monitoring and reporting of the programme of works.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of projects/workstreams, ensuring they are delivered within the agreed time and cost.
- Lead and co‑ordinate the activities of project teams, ensuring that all members actively participate and understand their responsibilities to undertake tasks and meet deadlines.
- Write and maintain project plans, carrying out critical path analysis, ensuring key tasks are identified and completed in order.
Qualifications
It would be beneficial to hold a Planning Degree or equivalent Planning or Project Management qualification and full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute, although this is not mandatory.
Pay Rate - £50‑£60 per hour (Depending on experience)
