The Opportunity
An established and growing mechanical installation contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to support an increasing workload across the South of England. The business delivers mechanical installation projects within the water, utilities, process and industrial sectors, with a strong pipeline of work across locations including Southampton, Cricklewood and Bexhill. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their supervisory team with an additional Site Supervisor based in the South. The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for supervising mechanical installation activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. You will act as the key point of contact between site teams, project management and client representatives, ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery of works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical installation works on site
- Maintain high standards of site safety, quality and productivity
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
- Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to deliver works in line with programme requirements
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety legislation and company procedures
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation
- Monitor progress and report any delays, risks or technical issues
- Manage hired equipment and company assets on site
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Identify and communicate potential variations and additional works opportunities
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings and quality standards
- Support the successful delivery of projects within budget and programme constraints
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising mechanical installation projects
- Background within water, utilities, process, industrial or related sectors
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Installation (or equivalent)
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
