Are you an experienced Tooling or Mechanical Designer looking to work on cutting-edge defence engineering projects? This is an excellent opportunity for talented engineers to join a high-performing team delivering tooling, fixtures, and mechanical design solutions for major new-build programmes within a highly regulated engineering environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Designing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and mechanical components
- Producing concept and detailed 3D CAD designs
- Solving complex engineering and manufacturing challenges
- Modifying and improving designs to meet project requirements
- Supporting safety, reliability, and performance reviews
- Producing technical documentation and reports
- Managing design risks and project scope
Key Skills
- Experience in Tooling Design or Mechanical Design
- Background in defence, nuclear, aerospace, or heavy engineering environments
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and materials
- Experience with Siemens NX or similar 3D CAD systems
- Familiarity with Teamcentre or similar PLM systems
- Understanding of engineering standards and safety legislation
