Due to key project demands, my client is seeking an experienced and capable Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy design team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact on a variety of rail infrastructure projects.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be a key player in producing high-quality designs for station schemes, signalling power, and E&P works.
You will be responsible for producing detailed LV designs using MicroStation 2D including design calculations and cable sizing.
You must have proven experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer on rail based projects using MicroStation; previous experience designing LV assets such as station systems, points heating, and signalling power is essential.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Designer within the UK rail sector.
- You must be able to produce designs using this software from day one.
- A strong background in LV electrical design (e.g., station systems, points heating, signalling power).
- Experience working to Network Rail standards and processes.
- Experience using ETAP software.
- Familiarity with BIM processes and 3D modelling.
- Previous experience as a CRE (Contractors Responsible Engineer) is beneficial but not essential.
