Are you an experienced Operations Administrator or Co-ordinator with a background in construction, looking for a varied role supporting busy site and operational teams?
My client is a well-established construction business seeking an organised and proactive Operations Administrator to support the day-to-day running of its projects and site operations. You will play a key role in keeping labour, plant, purchasing and site information organised and up to date.
This is an opportunity to join a busy construction environment where you will have a varied workload, work closely with site teams and become an important part of the wider operations function.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining subcontractor timesheets and ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Managing information received from the company's site app and ensuring relevant data is recorded correctly
- Maintaining daily operational calendars and schedules
- Booking plant, equipment and direct labour for live projects
- Supporting purchasing activities across the business
- Raising and managing purchase orders, including POs for plant, materials and services
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments
- Monitoring operational paperwork and maintaining accurate project records
- Supporting the coordination of labour and resources across different sites
- Assisting with general administration and operational tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous administration, coordination or operations experience within the construction industry
- Experience dealing with subcontractors, site teams or construction-related suppliers
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities at once
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when dealing with timesheets, purchase orders and site records
- Confidence using IT systems, spreadsheets and construction or site-based applications
- Good communication skills and a practical, proactive approach to problem solving
Based in Reading, this role would suit someone who understands the pace and requirements of a construction environment and enjoys keeping projects organised behind the scenes.
