Concrete Technician in Ipswich

Our client is looking for an experienced Concrete Technician to join their HTS team on a temp-to-perm basis, based in Ipswich & various site locations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a UKAS-accredited background in concrete testing and structural experience to work on a variety of projects across the UK. The role involves a mix of site-based and office-based work, requiring flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performing concrete testing in accordance with UKAS standards.
2. Conducting structural inspections as required.
3. Using site hand tools and plant safely and efficiently.
4. Carrying out testing and inspections in various environments, including at height, on water, and in confined spaces.
5. Accurately recording and reporting findings, including drawings, numerical data, and site notes.
6. Conducting site briefings and liaising with teams to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Requirements:

1. UKAS-accredited background in concrete testing.
2. Experience in concrete testing and structures.
3. Minimum 2 years\' experience as a Concrete Technician.
4. CSCS card and SMSTS certification.
5. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel as required.
6. Comfortable working in challenging environments (heights, water, confined spaces).
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to record findings clearly.
8. Excellent communication skills for site briefings and reporting.
9. Computer literacy.
10. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

1. AutoCAD LT training would be an advantage.
