Are you a Civils Estimator looking for a long-term opportunity with a leading civil engineering and building contractor in the North West? This is a strong opportunity to join my client's established estimating team in Warrington, where you will be supported with a market-leading package, long-term development and genuine progression opportunities.

My client is a well-established, multi-discipline Civil Engineering and Building contractor delivering a wide range of projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Civils Estimator who can provide a high-quality estimating service across individual projects and wider portfolios.

As a Civils Estimator, you will be:

  • Preparing tender estimates from first principles using Conquest estimating software.
  • Analysing project documentation, identifying potential risks and drawing on your knowledge of construction methods, outputs, subcontractor quotations and material prices to produce accurate, competitive tender submissions.
  • Carrying out site visits to understand site-specific constraints, access requirements and project complexities.
  • Leading and contributing to discussions with suppliers, subcontractors, senior colleagues and client representatives throughout the tender process.
  • Involved in pre-tender sign‑off meetings, pre‑ and post‑tender client meetings, and detailed handovers with contract and commercial teams to ensure all tender information, risks and project requirements are clearly understood before contract award.
  • Keeping up to date with inflation, exchange rates and projected cost movements, while obtaining feedback from site teams to ensure estimating assumptions remain accurate and reflective of current market conditions.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in civil engineering estimating.
  • Strong first‑principles estimating knowledge and experience using Conquest estimating software.
  • Confidence in reviewing tender documentation, identifying risk, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and producing robust tender submissions.

The salary for this Civils Estimator position is dependent on experience and will be reviewed annually. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including company bonuses at the company's discretion, a fully expensed electric or hybrid company car, or a personal car allowance if preferred, company pension contributions, BUPA healthcare including spouse and family membership cover, 35 days' combined paid holiday from commencement, and life insurance cover from the date of joining the scheme.
