Class 2AB Registered Building Inspector - Hampshire Contract: Initial 6 months Hours: Full-time Rate: £55+ per hour - flexible depending on experience Location: Hampshire Carrington West are working with a local authority in Hampshire who are looking to appoint an experienced Class 2AB Registered Building Inspector on an initial 6-month contract. This is a full-time position covering a mixture of site inspections and plan checking, providing a varied workload across domestic building control projects. Key responsibilities: ·Carrying out building control inspections across the local area ·Undertaking plan checks and technical assessments ·Managing a varied caseload of domestic projects within Class 2AB competency ·Providing professional advice to applicants, developers and other stakeholders ·Ensuring work complies with relevant Building Regulations and legislation Requirements: ·Registered Building Inspector at Class 2AB ·Previous Building Control experience ·Competent undertaking both inspections and plan checking ·Able to manage your own workload effectively ·Local authority experience would be advantageous The council is looking to secure someone for an initial 6-month period, with the hourly rate starting from £55 per hour and flexibility available for the right candidate.
