Location: Glasgow, Leeds or Edinburgh (2-3 days per week) | Manchester, Birmingham and London also considered

Contract: Initial 6 Months

Rate: £40-45 per hour (Inside IR35)

The role

We are seeking experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineers to support the delivery of major transmission infrastructure projects across the UK. Working on transmission substations ranging from 132kV to 400kV, you will be involved in FEED and detailed design activities, supporting projects through tender and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Civil and structural design for transmission substation projects
  • Production of calculations, reports and construction-ready documentation
  • Development of FEED and detailed design packages
  • Coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Support design delivery through tender and construction stages

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Detailed design experience gained with a UK Transmission Owner or UK contractor
  • Experience working on transmission voltage substations (132kV-400kV)
  • Strong understanding of UK design standards, Eurocodes and industry specifications
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams

  • Part-time candidates considered
  • Preference for candidates able to attend offices in Glasgow, Leeds or Edinburgh 2-3 days per week, although Manchester, Birmingham and London are also available
