An immediate requirement has arisen for a Communications Business Partner to join our clients on a freelance basis, supporting their Highways, Transport & Planning function. This is a great opportunity for a communications professional who can work confidently with senior stakeholders and operational teams, while also being hands-on with campaigns, content and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic communications and engagement plans
- Lead proactive communications campaigns around highways and transport services
- Create engaging content across websites, social media and other channels
- Produce briefings, newsletters, FAQs and stakeholder communications
- Provide communications advice to senior managers and project teams
- Translate complex operational information into clear, accessible messaging
- Manage stakeholder relationships across internal and external audiences
- Support media, crisis and reactive communications when required
- Use customer insight, complaints and enquiries to improve communications
- Monitor campaign performance and stakeholder engagement
About You
- Proven experience in communications, PR, public affairs, journalism or marketing
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities
- Experience delivering communications or engagement campaigns
- The ability to simplify complex information for different audiences
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Public sector or local government experience is desirable
