Are you a Rail Surveyor with experience in track monitoring looking to step into a management role? Do you have experience in processing survey data, including survey control, and preparing CAD drawings?
Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 DOE + circa £5,000 car allowance
Location: Chelmsford office (around 50-60%) and various sites across London and the South East (40-50%).
You will be joining a specialist survey and monitoring company at the forefront of the UK’s rail industry. Due to significant growth and winning new frameworks with major clients, they are expanding their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business that is becoming increasingly busy.
As the new Senior Track Monitoring Surveyor, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of survey data, acting as the technical lead for a team of four to six engineers. Your day-to-day will involve processing data, managing project logistics, scheduling teams and equipment, and providing crucial on-site support, which will include some night and weekend work typical of the rail sector.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a surveying role.
- Expertise in processing survey data, including survey control.
- Proficiency in preparing CAD drawings.
- Experience within the rail sector (P-way/track).
- A valid PTS card, or the experience to renew it.
- A degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Chartership with RICS or ICES would be a significant advantage.
- Previous experience managing or leading a team.
