Location: Between Hertfordshire and South Essex

Rate: £325 per day outside IR35

Contract Length: 6 months +

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm

A specialist infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support a growing portfolio of rail projects in South Essex. This is a hands-on, site-based role providing practical H&S support across live projects, with a mixture of site inspections, briefings, documentation and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day H&S support across live projects.
  • Deliver site briefings, toolbox talks and task briefings.
  • Prepare and review RAMS and other H&S documentation.
  • Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance checks.
  • Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Produce cost assessments where required.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, company procedures and client requirements.
  • Work closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to promote a positive safety culture.

Essential Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Previous H&S experience within rail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
