This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a flagship Access for All scheme in Cardiff, involving the construction of a new bridge structure providing improved access and connectivity to a local university. With detailed design nearing completion and construction commencing this autumn, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-profile infrastructure project.
The role will suit a client-facing Project Manager with a strong structures background who is comfortable managing multidisciplinary subcontractors and driving project delivery within an NEC4 environment.
Where you will add value:
- Leading the delivery of a major Access for All infrastructure scheme.
- Managing multidisciplinary work packages including piling, reinforced concrete, telecoms, electrical works, and lift installations.
- Administering NEC4 contractual processes, including compensation events and change management.
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and key project stakeholders.
- Working closely with commercial, design, and operational teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitoring programme, risk, cost, and project performance through a cloud-based contractor management platform.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience operating as a Project Manager on rail infrastructure projects.
- Strong structures background, ideally involving bridges, reinforced concrete, or civil engineering schemes.
