Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to work on some of the UK's most exciting and technically challenging building services projects? Our client is a leading engineering consultancy renowned for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across the built environment. With a strong presence throughout the Southwest and Wales, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Bristol or Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects spanning healthcare, research facilities, data centres, commercial developments, residential schemes, manufacturing facilities, and critical infrastructure projects.

The Role

  • As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical building services designs from concept through to completion.
  • Producing electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Designing LV distribution, lighting, earthing, protection, and standby power systems.
  • Coordinating with internal MEP disciplines and external consultants.
  • Attending client, design, and project meetings.
  • Reviewing contractor submissions and conducting site inspections.
  • Supporting testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Managing project deliverables and ensuring quality and programme requirements are met.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

For Senior Engineers, the role will also involve leading projects or disciplines, managing project resources, overseeing technical delivery, and contributing to commercial and client‑facing activities.

About You

  • You will ideally have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Progress towards or achievement of IEng or CEng status.
  • Experience delivering electrical building services designs within the built environment sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and electrical design standards.
  • Proficiency in industry software including Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux, and electrical design packages.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Experience working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
