Site Engineer - Water Infrastructure Bristol Area Long-Term Contract | CIS An opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major water infrastructure project in the Bristol area. The scheme is progressing beyond the main reinforced concrete structures and into process pipework, treatment systems and associated M&E works, creating a varied engineering role with genuine input into site delivery. This is not a role for someone who is solely reliant on machine control. You will be expected to take ownership of the engineering requirements on site, complete your own setting out and work closely with the Foreman and Site Management team to help plan and deliver the works. Key responsibilities include: ·Setting out for civils, pipework and associated works ·Carrying out engineering checks and maintaining site records ·Supporting short-term planning and sequencing ·Working closely with Foremen and Site Managers on day-to-day delivery ·Reviewing drawings and identifying engineering issues ·Ensuring works are delivered accurately and to specification ·Providing engineering input as the project progresses through the next phases The ideal candidate will have: ·Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects ·Strong setting out and general engineering capability ·Experience using relevant surveying equipment ·The ability to work independently and take ownership of engineering activities ·Good communication skills and confidence working with site management teams ·Previous water or wastewater experience would be highly advantageous This is a long-term CIS contract offering good continuity of work on a substantial infrastructure programme.
